wessex water pumping station
this proposal seeks to convert the form pumping station into a detached dwelling at Pen Selwood. the design includes the creation of a new internal mezzanine space within the large double height volume of the pump house and a second storey above the existing store/garage structure.
a new glazed entrance hallway provides connection between the two existing buildings.
in addition, the proposal maintains the existing enclosing retaining wall structure at the reservoir that is positioned below ground level and removes the existing concrete ‘lid’ to create a new external walled garden.
