a new village hall was designed to provide facilities for a varied and extensive range of needs for the village community.   Maximum use is made by the linkage of principal rooms to external space for a hall that is the nucleus for outside sports, social, family, commercial and cultural activities.  The design recognises that efficient running costs and low maintenance, as well as income generation opportunities are of primary importance for the future growth and success of the hall. A second cricket pitch, when successfully acquired will give the hall a double aspect and become the hub for village life that is intended, should villagers who voted to retain their existing limited hall change their minds
