holiday-lets from redundant farm buildings 2005 bradford leigh • wiltshire
the proposal successfully revitalised two existing farm buildings as 3 holiday-let units, in-line with wiltshire planning policy guidance for tourism and the sustainable re-use of redundant farm buildings. The conversion uses an architectural language that is sensitive to their existing form and reinvents the buildings for presence, context and a valuable new use. The new buildings are well lit via large openable glazed panels, are very heavily insulated and in a long narrow plan, enjoy excellent natural cross ventilation
